Telegram already has real formatting — in messages
Telegram is one of the few chat apps with proper rich text. Select any text in the composer and you get bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, monospace, spoiler and link options, and the markdown shortcuts work too. Inside a message, use that — it stays searchable and readable to screen readers.
What Telegram does not format is everything outside the message body: your bio, your name, channel titles, group titles. Those render literal characters, which is where Unicode styling is the only route.
Channel titles and the 70-character bio
Channel and group titles are the highest-value place to style, because they appear in every member's chat list and are the first thing a prospective subscriber sees. There is no formatting alternative, so styled Unicode is standard practice on large channels.
The bio is tighter than it looks — 70 characters on a free account. Decorative wrappers can eat a third of that, so style the words rather than adding brackets around them.

How do I change my Telegram bio font?
Generate a style above, copy it, then open Settings, tap Edit, and paste it into the Bio field.
Can I bold text in a Telegram message?
Yes, natively — select the text and choose Bold, or wrap it in double asterisks. Use that instead of Unicode inside messages.
Do styled channel titles affect Telegram search?
Yes. Telegram's global search matches characters, so a fully styled channel title is much harder to find.
Does this need a Telegram bot?
No. It runs in your browser and outputs text you paste in yourself.
