# Social media AI agent

> Autoadify's AI Agent completes multi-step social media work on its own — research, drafting, image and video generation, and building a schedule — then stops for human approval before anything publishes.

Autoadify ships **one** agent, not a roster of specialist bots.

## What the agent can do

Twenty tools, chained up to ten deep in a single request.

- **Context (11, run freely)** — `list_accounts`, `search_products`, `get_brand_context`, `list_posts`, `list_scheduled`, `get_analytics`, `web_search`, `search_stock`, `list_canva_designs`, `list_ai_models`, `check_generation`.
- **Generation (6, run freely)** — `generate_text`, `generate_image`, `generate_video`, `edit_image`, `attach_image_from_url`, `import_canva_design`.
- **Action (3, always require approval)** — `schedule_post`, `schedule_content_plan`, `publish_now`.

A worked example. Asked to plan a week of launch posts for a new Shopify product, the agent runs: `search_products` (reads the catalog entry) → `get_brand_context` (loads voice and audience) → `list_accounts` (checks what is connected) → `get_analytics` (checks what performed) → `web_search` (checks the live web, with sources) → `generate_text` (per-platform copy, not one caption reposted) → `generate_image` (branded stills per aspect ratio) → `generate_video` (a 9:16 clip with audio). Eight steps, no approval needed, because none of them leaves the workspace. The ninth, `schedule_content_plan`, halts and hands the user the full editable plan.

Connecting an MCP server adds its tools to the same registry. MCP tools are approval-gated by default unless the user marks one as safe to auto-run.

## Tool permissions

Agent tools sit in three tiers:

- **Context tools** — read catalog, accounts, past posts, analytics and the web. Run freely.
- **Generation tools** — text, images, video, edits. Run freely.
- **Action tools** — publish and schedule. **Always require explicit human approval.** There is no setting that disables this.

## Durability

Batch scheduling runs as a durable background job, so a multi-post plan survives the chat session ending. A new Shopify or WooCommerce product fires its workflow whether or not the user is online, and anything pending approval waits in the queue rather than timing out and publishing.
